Premium naturally-sourced calcium sulphate that improves soil structure, reduces compaction, and delivers essential calcium and sulfur — without altering soil pH. Available in powder and granular form.

Description

Agricultural gypsum (calcium sulphate, CaSO₄·2H₂O) is one of the most effective and underutilised soil amendments available to Kenyan farmers. Primeview’s gypsum is naturally mined, carefully processed, and quality-tested to deliver consistent results across a wide range of crops and soil types.

What it does for your soil: Gypsum works at the root zone — loosening compacted, waterlogged, or sodic soils so roots can penetrate deeper and access more nutrients. It supplies readily available calcium and sulfur, two nutrients often deficient in East African soils, without pushing soil pH up or down.

Key Benefits:

  • Breaks up heavy clay and compacted soils
  • Reduces surface crusting and improves water infiltration
  • Supplies calcium (for strong cell walls) and sulfur (for protein synthesis)
  • Helps leach excess sodium from sodic/saline soils
  • Safe to use alongside most fertilizers and inputs
  • Does not affect soil pH

Recommended crops: Maize, wheat, potatoes, tea, coffee, horticulture, sugarcane, groundnuts, and most vegetables.

Application rate: 500kg – 2,000kg per acre depending on soil test results. Our agronomic team can advise on the right rate for your specific soil.

Packaging: 50kg bags | Bulk orders available for cooperatives and commercial farms.
